Future of Nursing: Considering Diversity and Inclusion

This presentation will explore the landmark report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, and discuss why workforce diversity is important to accomplishing the vision of The Future of Nursing 2020-2030. Attendees will also learn how health care changes will impact the future of nursing.

Deb Toney, PhD, RN

Dr. Debra A. Toney, PhD, RN, is the Vice President of Quality Management, at Nevada Health Centers in Las Vegas, Nevada, the State’s largest federally qualified health center. Dr. Toney is responsible for ensuring high quality and cost-effective care throughout Nevada Health Center Medical Practices. Her practice-related scholarship focuses on reducing or eliminating health disparities and increasing a diverse and culturally competent healthcare workforce. In both her professional and volunteer roles, she has been devoted to delivering and improving health care in under-served communities.
