2:30 PM EDT: Primary Immune Deficiencies: Please, Just the Facts

Primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDD) are a group of more than 300 unique disease states caused by a defect in the immune system. It’s estimated that more than 6 million people worldwide, many of whom remain undiagnosed, may be affected by one of these diseases. What causes PIDD? What are the warning signs? How are these disease states treated? This session will discuss the basics of PIDD and bring awareness to this complicated group of disease states.

Learning Outcomes: After the session, attendees will be able to identify the most common forms of PIDD, describe the warning signs, and discuss available treatment options.
