Recommendations for Improving Safety Practices with Short Peripheral Catheters
In 2013, INS convened a task force of infusion therapy experts from various practice settings to identify, promote, and develop recommendations and tools to improve health care professional and patient safety practices surrounding the use of short peripheral catheters. The committee developed a position paper with recommendations on how to improve safety practices with short peripheral catheters.
