Loretta Dorn, RN MSN CRNI®, is the director of the clinical liaison team at Fresenius Kabi that provides professional education on the use and administration of IV therapy products to clinicians across the United States. She has more than 20 years of nursing experience and health care leadership experience in a variety of settings including community health, ICU, oncology, specialty IV therapy, home care, and long-term care. Loretta Dorn has written international health care standards and directed clinical studies, and is the patient safety chair of Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN). This team most recently published the IV Push Evidence-Based Practice Checklist. She has authored numerous publications in professional nursing and medical journals and works closely with professional organizations to assist with setting clinical standards. She is a peer journal reviewer for the Journal of Infusion Nursing and is on the American Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) education committee.
