Krista Veteto, BSN, RN, CRNI®, is a certified infusion nurse and health care innovator with over 22 years of combined experience in clinical care, business operations, and health care strategy. She began her nursing career in one of Washington’s busiest emergency departments, developing a strong foundation in acute care, rapid decision making, and patient advocacy.
For the past 5 years, Ms Veteto has served as the Home Infusion Nurse Supervisor at Confluence Health, where she designed, launched, and now oversees the health system’s home infusion department. Under her leadership, the program has delivered more than 1,000 patient visits across 4 counties, expanding access to specialty infusion therapies for rural and underserved communities.
Before entering nursing, Ms Veteto spent 13 years in business and marketing operations, shaping the systems-level perspective she brings to clinical program development. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Organizational Development. She previously held certifications as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Trauma Nurse (TCRN) and currently maintains certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI®).
Ms Veteto was selected as the 2023 North Central Washington Nurse of the Year – Inspiring Nurse Leader for her contributions during the COVID-19 response and for leading the launch of Confluence Health’s home infusion program. During the pandemic, she played a key role in coordinating the nursing components of the regional COVID-19 vaccine rollout, including helping establish 4 vaccination sites across North Central Washington.
Ms Veteto’s professional focus includes optimizing rural health care delivery, reducing clinician burnout through improved Epic workflows, and developing scalable infusion services that support patients with complex chronic conditions. She is deeply committed to sustainable nursing practice and creating systems that protect work–life balance, recognizing that healthy nurses are essential to high quality patient care.
